Residents and leaders of Rutsiro district on Monday 15, held a walk to remember as part of commemoration symbol of 3600 victims of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi in the area.
Gaspard Byukusenge, the mayor of Rutsiro district underscored the importance of remembering the victims of Genocide, adding that memory honors the dead and bestows dignity to the survivors.
The mayor also told residents to renounce anything that would bring disunity among Rwandans but to get together and think of ways to develop together.
Byukusenge asked people to become more sensitive in this trying and hard period for most Rwandans especially genocide survivors by supporting and understanding them in any possible way.
